About US
Barmera Primary School is a warm, friendly and welcoming learning community.
We have an intense daily focus on reading and numeracy programs
which have led to our students achieving top results across the Riverland region.
We cater for every individual child in all areas of their learning;
each child has reading and numeracy goals that they work towards at their own pace.
Our small class sizes allow for individual learning
and intervention to support students’ learning.
We are fortunate to have a Wellbeing Leader, Pastoral Care Worker and Aboriginal
Community Education Officer who make up a strong team that work together to provide
support and activities to ensure the wellbeing of our students.
We are well equipped with class sets of laptops and interactive whiteboards,
as well as a large range of technology equipment to support students to become ICT literate.
The school’s internal spaces are vast; open plan, double spaced classrooms, indoor
gymnasium and a library. We have numerous playgrounds, full sized grass oval, asphalt
basketball and tennis courts and scrub play areas to allow students to learn and explore
in a creative setting. We also cater for families by providing a convenient bus service,
online lunch ordering system, host instrumental music lessons for the Riverland,
OSHC and a weekly playgroup session.
All staff and students continually strive towards our school values of Achievement,
Respect and Teamwork and foster this in a caring, supportive way.
